NASHVILLE – A.J. Brown was on the receiving end plenty during his rookie season, and he had a blast while emerging as one of the NFL's top young stars.
This offseason, the Titans receiver has had just as much fun giving.
Brown's generosity has been on full display during what's been a tough time for plenty of folks across the country during the coronavirus pandemic.
This month, Brown went out of his way to purchase jerseys for Titans fans while interacting with them on social media.
His explanation for doing so?
"I just wanted to share some love and give back as much as I can," Brown said.
One of Brown's acts of kindness came when a fan posted on social media that her husband planned to surprise her on Mother's Day by purchasing one of Brown's jerseys. Brown saw the post and then offered to buy the husband a jersey of his own so the couple could dress alike at games, decked out in No.11.
Also this month, Brown held a contest and proceeded to buy No. 11 jerseys for 10 of his Twitter followers.
Brown, who led all rookies with 1,051 receiving yards while also posting eight touchdown receptions and 52 catches in 2019, said the support since being drafted by the Titans last year has meant a lot to him.
Brown said it's "humbling" to see fans in his jersey.
He'll see even more in 2020.
"It means the world to me, honestly," Brown said of seeing fans in his jersey. "It's very humbling. I wanted to give Nashville people and anybody else an opportunity to be a Titans fan that represents us well. I feel like we don't get enough credit as Titans fans."
