Catch Cally? What Titans HC Brian Callahan Said Before Wednesday's Practice During Packers Week

CatchCally

NASHVILLE – Titans coach Brian Callahan spoke to reporters before Wednesday's practice.

The team is scheduled to practice from 1:05 p.m.-2:35 p.m. today to prepare for Sunday's game vs the Green Bay Packers.

Some real quick highlights on what Callahan, aka "Cally", said before I head to practice:

-The official Injury Report comes out later today. Callahan said a couple of guys may be limited, or get the day off, but he anticipates everyone being available for Sunday's game.

-Callahan said the Titans will be prepared to face the Packers, no matter who the opposing quarterback ends up being on Sunday. Jordan Love returned to practice on Wednesday in Green Bay, after former Titans quarterback Malik Willis started this past Sunday's game vs the Colts. Love missed Week 2 with a knee injury. "We have to go prepare to play the Packers offense, whether it's with Malik or Jordan Love," Callahan said. "Schematically it varies a little bit, but at the end of the day we have to do our jobs well. ... We'll be ready for both players."

-Callahan said it's on him to get receiver DeAndre Hopkins as the primary receiver more often, which would put him in a position to get the ball more often. "There will be plenty of that as we move forward," Callahan said. "As he's felt good, and healthy and ready to roll, his role will increase, and you'll see more of that."

-Callahan said safety Jamal Adams will play more this week vs the Packers after logging just two snaps against the Jets. "Regardless of opponent or matchup," Callahan said, "that should go up. We'll see how much."

-Callahan reiterated he wants to get more touches for running back Tyjae Spears, who left Sunday's game with an injury.

-Callahan said quarterback Will Levis made strides from Week 1 to Week 2, from how he moved in the pocket to how he saw the field. "I'm really pleased with how he played for the most part," Callahan said. "I thought Will made a really nice improvement from Week 1 to Week 2." Callahan said Levis is in a good place, and the mental toughness he's shown while dealing with adversity over the past two weeks.

-Callahan bragged on Titans linebacker Ernest Jones, who led the team on tackles on Sunday after playing every snap. The Titans acquired Jones in a trade with the Rams before the season. "Very impressed," Callahan said of Jones, "but not at all surprised by that."

-Callahan said he's very confident in our process, and the team's coaches. He believes in what the locker room represents. "We don't have the tangible results, that come with wins," he said, "but (I feel) it's coming."
