Head coach Mike Munchak conducted the team's first night practice Sunday at Baptist Sports Park.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - New Tennessee coach Mike Munchak wanted to treat Titans' fans with a night practice hoping to get out of the heat a bit.

The weather didn't cooperate, not that the fans nor the players minded.

About 1,200 fans turned out Sunday night to watch the new coach put the Titans through their first open practice, and Munchak welcomed them by grabbing a microphone early. The Titans wrapped the session with all the players heading to the fence to sign autographs on a sticky, humid night.

Defensive lineman Jason Jones says it was cool seeing fans again after being asked by people the past few months about when they would play football again.

NOTES: Munchak said newly signed tight end Daniel Graham will provide the blocker like Tennessee had two seasons ago in veteran Alge Crumpler. Graham agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth more than $8 million earlier Sunday but can't practice until Thursday. New middle LB Barrett Ruud watched Sunday night's practice. ... Rookie WR O.J. Murdock apparently hurt his right Achilles' tendon. Munchak did not immediately have an update but said Murdock heard a pop without any contact. ... DT Sen'Derrick Marks, recovering from shoulder surgery in March, watched practice along with WR Kenny Britt (tight hamstring).
