Programs within Opportunity will focus on supporting local small and diverse-owned businesses, commitments to a diverse labor force and vendor pool for construction and post-construction, loan and grants programs, and other initiatives focusing on economic inclusion and growth. The programs will create meaningful pathways to jobs, professional training, and small business financing.

Programs within Opportunity include the:

Titans Economic Inclusion Program

  • $18 / hour minimum wage for employees
  • A Small / Minority-Owned / Women-Owned / Other Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation and workforce development program maximizing minority inclusion and opportunities in stadium construction and beyond

1st & Goal Small Business Support Program

  • $2 million fund with Citizens Bank for loans and grants for qualified small and minority-owned businesses who need access to capital
  • Scholarships for small and minority-owned businesses to grow capacity through the Nashville Business Incubation Center (NBIC)

Titans' Hope and Imagination Center

  • 12,000 square foot multi-purpose community space in the new stadium
  • Flexible space for nonprofits and community organizations to utilize for education programming, celebrations, community space, food and clothing drives and more

Real Estate Development and Leadership Council

  • Paid virtual internship and adult professional program with Project Destined focused on real estate and sports venue development
  • Hands-on experience with stadium construction and design teams and network with professional opportunities and certifications in the future

Minority Small Business & Contractors Readiness Masterclass

This tailored four-part master class series will provide minority small business owners and contractors with the tools to build capacity and gain insight on preparing for contracting bids to better position themselves for the large-scale construction projects that are on the horizon. With one of these projects being the Tennessee Titans new stadium development, this curated workshop series will empower and equip minority owned businesses and contractors through instruction and mentorship provided by well renowned experienced professionals and key industry leaders. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with industry leaders during an invite only dinner immediately following each session.

How will the four-part readiness master class benefit my small or minority-owned business?

If you are looking for opportunities to prepare your business for nationwide bidding on large-scale construction projects. This program is an educational opportunity; however, it does not guarantee any awarding of contracts.

Who is eligible to participate in the Master Class series?

Any small and minority-owned business entities with at least $100k in annual revenue are eligible and encouraged to apply to participate in the masterclass.

Are there any fees associated with attending the master classes?

No, there is no cost to participate in the master class series. All associated costs are covered through the partnership between the NBIC, the Don Hardin Group, and the Tennessee Titans Foundation.

Can I register for individual masterclasses?

Yes, you may register for individual sessions.

Where will the masterclasses take place? Will they be held online or in person?

All classes will be held in person. The exact location of each category will be shared with accepted enrollees.

What topics will be covered in each of the four masterclass sessions?

Careful consideration was given to the programming content. The four sessions will cover typical barriers or challenges for small and minority-owned businesses in the project bidding process. The topics include financial readiness and options, bonding and insurance, networking and mentoring, workforce development, planning, and preparation.

Who will be conducting the master classes?

A subject-matter expert will teach each lesson. Participants will receive instructor bios before each class.

Will there be networking opportunities with other businesses during the masterclass series?

Absolutely. We understand that the primary value of this program is rooted in industry networking and connections.

Can I bring additional team members from my business to attend the classes with me?

No. Only those who are enrolled can attend and participate. However, we encourage adapting internal opportunities for companies to share information with their teams.

How do I secure my spot for the master class series? Is there a deadline for registration?

Registration for the first class opens on Monday, July 31, 2023. Subsequent class registrations will open the Friday following each class. For example, Registration for Class II will open on Friday, August 18, as Class I is scheduled for Thursday, August 17. We will be accepting the first 75 applicants that meet the stated requirements.
